Member organizations of the Palestine/Israel Just Peace Working Group believe in working for a just and lasting Palestinian-Israeli peace based on human rights and international law.
Recognizing that UFPJ is a broad peace and justice action coalition, the Palestine/Israel Just Peace Working Group seeks to make a contribution to achieving a just peace by focusing its energies on:
* practical action to end all forms of US aid that sustain Israel's occupation of the West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem and its denial of equal rights to Palestinians, both within and outside the Green Line
* broadening understanding of the Palestine/Israel conflict amongst UFPJ member groups and within the anti-war movement overall, in line with the above goals and principles
*increasing coordination amongst forces working for a just peace in line with the above goals and principles
*providing resources for member groups through action alerts, speaking tours, teach-ins, educational materials, etc.
*unity of action where there is strong consensus within UFPJ, such as ending the occupation, stopping and dismantling the "separation" wall, etc., as described above, while agreeing to disagree about a range of related matters where there is not strong consensus
